She owes me nothing, I have been wrong to put my feelings on her. She owes me nothing, she is free to live her life; as I am free to live mine. She owes me nothing, go be free my dear sister and friend. You go your way and I will go mine, may God be with both you and me. If He so desires we will meet again. She owes me nothing, her blessings are hers alone. My gifts from God are mine from Him, sent to me with love. She owes me nothing, I release her from my expectations, plans, desires, and wants. She owes me nothing, I let her go, to grasp Jesus Christ. She owes me nothing, I love her freely. I owe her nothing.
Jesus, I give my whole heart to you. No one else has a first place in my heart and life but you. You Lord are first, then the rest. Forgive me for not placing you first.
The above poem was written from a place and time in my life where I had to evaluate my close relationships and friendships as Christ is growing me up in Him. Sometimes we have to let people and things go. Anything that hinders our pursuit and relationship with the Lord, especially when you are walking a different path then they are. There comes a time when we each will have to chose who has first place out lives. Jesus Christ must be both Lord and savior in your life first and foremost.
